Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately there was an accident with our Te Kawa bus and a car this morning.  Emergency services were contacted and ambulance drivers have checked everyone that was on the bus.  Most children were fine, are back at school, and are being regularly monitored.  A small number of children have been transported to the hospital as a precaution, and they all have family and staff with them.  School has already accessed Ministry of Education support to ensure that the wellbeing of all concerned is being taken care of.  

We were exceptionally proud of how our children managed the situation, they were calm and did not panic - well done them!  We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who were so wonderful and supportive at the scene; including the police and the ambulance services.  

People react to stressful situations in different ways, please keep an eye on your children and if they seem out of sorts please contact your medical professional.
