Korakonui Book Week will include:

  •  Reading of favourite books/stories across the school.
  • Visiting adults sharing a story and why reading is important in their life.
  • Author study and visiting author.

  • The Scholastic Book Fair will be at school with books for purchase.
  • Friday 25th May - Dress as your favourite book character day (please bring your book along to share). The parade will be held in the MPR at 9.15am. – all welcome to attend.

In preparation for Book Week

We require volunteers to share why reading is important in their life over this week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you can assist.

We also need to be looking at our bookshelves for our favourite book character who we wish to come dressed to school as.

The book fair is set up in the MPR and open from 8:30am until 3:30pm so parents can come before and after school. When children visit the book fair, they can write a ‘wish list’ to take home and bring the money back to school to purchase their books. We also have some pens, pencils and highlighters for sale.
There are hundreds of books on display and little reading nooks set up to for children to browse the books in comfort.
