Dear Parents,

As indicated in the email I sent you previously today, we are going to Raglan tomorrow (14 March) for our first WPCA Challenge - learning to paddleboard.  

The list of groups, parent transport and timetable is on the reverse of this sheet.

Accompanying parents: Mandy Reilly, Karla Mitchell, Peter Bom, Mark Swney, Kate Ferguson, Kirsten Matthews, Sam White, Nicole Duncan and Laura Green

Participants will need :

• Suitable clothing for paddleboarding - swimsuit / rash vest / shorts / wetsuit  (life jackets are provided by the organisers)

• Change of clothing including WPCA T-shirt (these should arrive next week!)

• Footwear - you can either go barefoot or wear booties

• Two towels, sun screen, hat, change of clothing.  

• Morning tea and lunch

• Two drink bottles

• A raincoat

• Sneaker type footwear

The weather forecast is for showers but the wind isn’t predicted to be an issue whereas Wednesday has sunshine but stronger winds.  I am ringing the Paddleboard company at 7.30am so if it is going to be postponed, I will notify you via the school Facebook page at 7.35am.

Directions to Paddleboarding:

The venue is Marine Parade.  You drive through the main st of Raglan and turn left at Wainui Rd.  Go over the one way bridge and then turn right onto Marine Parade where you will see the flags and vehicles of Raglan Watersports.  If you have any issues, please contact me on 0210373673
