Korakonui School - Small enough to care yet big enough to challenge and inspire

Cycle Skills This Week

Thursday 9 March 2017

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We are fortunate to have Taryn Mayall, the Cycling New Zealand Kiwisport Educator, at Korakonui School next week.  Taryn will be working with our students on improving their cycling skills and safety on the bike.

Each student will have at least two  sessions with Taryn and require their bike, helmet and covered shoes to take part in this experience.  Bikes and helmets can remain at school for the week - they will be stored securely  in the Multi Purpose Room.

It would be great to have as many bikes as possible at school so our pupils can take advantage of this opportunity.  Bikes can be dropped off at the MPR this Friday after assembly at 2.45pm to 3.30pm, or before school next week.

Timetable for lessons

  1. Bikes are required at school on Monday for Ngahape (Miss Dodd), Wharepuhunga (Mrs Kay), Mangawhio (Mrs Drewery) and Bayley (Mrs Loader).  These classes have sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.

  2. Bikes for Hingaia (Mrs Mark) to be at school by Wednesday.  Sessions are on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

  3. Bikes for Mangatutu Hub (Mrs Phillips, Mrs McLaughlin, Mrs B)  to be at school for Friday. Our Juniors will have two sessions on Friday only.

Should you have any questions regarding this experience please contact your classroom teacher.

Regards

Korakonui School Staff
